FOR ALL FOOD EXHIBITORS:
- APPROPRIATE PERMITS
- FIRE EXTINGUISHER
- POWER INDEPENDENT – BIG TOP ENTERTAINMENT DOES NOT PROVIDE TEMPORARY POWER FOR FOOD EXHIBITORS.
TYPES
OF FOOD EXHIBITORS
- GOURMET
FOOD EXHIBITOR: Exhibitor sells pre-packaged food items, not
intended for immediate consumption.These products are typically: jelly, jam, salsa, spices, sweets, pickles,
and other jarred, bagged and boxed items.
BOOTH ASSIGNMENT POLICY: these Exhibitors can register for any Premium Booth Assignment and Standard Booth Assignment.
PERMIT REQUIREMENTS: permits only required if samples will be provided, if selling pre-packaged items without sampling no permit is required. - COTTAGE
FOODS: Food is made in the home, it must be pre-packaged to sell at a
production, they cannot offer food samples.

BOOTHS: Exhibitors who sell hot food, prepared and cooked on site, intended
for immediate consumption, from of a tent.
FOOD BOOTH POLICY: typically, Big Top Entertainment does not allow for hot food to be sold out of a tent. Email info@bigtop.show for approval.
Food Booths may not register for a “Outdoor/Bring Your Own Tent” space between Retail Exhibitors.
Food Booths are a minimum of 200 square feet or 10x20.
- FOOD
TRUCKS: Exhibitors who sell hot food, prepared and cooked on site,
intended for immediate consumption, from of a mobile food truck.

- FOOD
TRAILERS: Exhibitors who sell hot food, prepared and cooked on site,
intended for immediate consumption, from a food trailer.

GENERATOR POLICY: Food Exhibitors must be POWER INDEPENDENT. Big TopEntertainment does not provide generators or overnight power to food exhibitors.
ICE:
Exhibitors can be purchased online at www.bigtop.show/ice for productions where
will be made available.Ice is provided
by a third party company and requires pre-purchasing of ice.There may be additional bags available to
purchase onsite, but Exhibitors should pre order their best estimate of what
they will need as excess ice is not accounted for and may not be
available.

Due to the numerous variables and unique circumstances of each business, Big Top Entertainment, cannot answer any specific questions about if you need a food permit or the requirements of obtaining a permit.We do provide contact details and the application for temporary food permits for each event.You can find permits online at www.bigtop.show/vsu.Please contact the city or county directly, contact details are on the permit application, to have any specific questions answered. - IS

TYPES OF FOOD PERMITS:
- CITY/COUNTY
HEALTH: copies for Big Top Entertainment productions can be found online at ww.bigtop.show/vsu.
- STATE
OF TEXAS: if a City or County does not require a food permit (typically in
rural areas) then Exhibitors are required to have their State of Texas
Temporary Food Permit.
